ROLLITOS DE SAN JAUME (INGLÉS)

The Sant Jaume Rolls are typical of the Valencian region of La Safor, where they have the tradition of making these rolls for July 25, Sant Jaume's Day.

They are made in the same paste as toña or monas, but they add anisets and grated lemon peel. They usually weigh about 100 g. approximately, and are 15 to 20 cm in diameter.

Before cooking, they are painted in egg and do not have sugar on top.
